On the way to Los Angeles we were running low on petrol and had to buy some from a person who had a store of petrol for the many others who had the same problem.

Los Angeles is a recommended stop over for tourist according to the “Lonley Planet Book”. Well from our point of view it had little or nothing to recommend it. We have only stayed in one hotel worse than the one at Los Angeles. Rhondda reckoned it was the most hilarious hotel she had ever seen and this was a place where you go for clandestine liaisons. The only bit of furniture was the large bed and Rhondda opened a door thinking it was a wardrobe but turned out to be a toilet. The next on the other side of the room turned out to be a shower. We had to ask for towels and I had difficulty sleeping due to the grubbiness of the place. In the morning Helmuth told us he had a cold shower so Rhondda decided to give a shower a miss. Breakfast was just as hilarious bread rolls butter and jam all served up on a formicas table the paper peeling off the walls. We could visualise another dose of food poisoning coming on but maybe we have developed immunity.

North of Los Angeles we stopped of to see some falls and then we continued north Back to Curanipe.

The weather was cooler than we expected.

We ran into a Kiwi guy who was checking out this place as he wanted to start up eco tourism here.

So helmet and Claudia thankyou for a marvellous opportunity to see a little of Chile.

We headed back on the bus to Santiago where we stayed the night with Terresa again and some members of the family so it was off to the airport where we flew back to Buenos Aires arriving late again.

Adios amigo’s thankyou for allowing us to come into your homes and share a little of your lives. This was a fantastic opportunity for us to see how others live meet new people and make new friends.
