The next day we were off to the lake and Voulcano passing the local tyre dealer.

This route took us to where their family had holiday homes at a remote place called Trupane. The trip took us through a number of towns and cities and we stopped at a City called Chillan for lunch and to see a huge open market selling all sorts of goods and produce. Some guy tried to pick pocket my bag but I felt him try and he took off

At this market was a food hall. This was like running a gauntlet with the waitresses trying to drag the potential customers into their restaurant. We chose one with a English menu but the food was inedible. It was so tough we gave up. The place was so grubby we were lucky not to suffer food poisoning.

Rhondda , Helmet and Claudia are being harangued by the waitresses.

The road to Trupane was gravel and very rough but the scenery was outstanding as we travelled along the foot of the Andes. Trupane consisted of a clump of houses along this gravel road intermingled in bush.
