Tita and her family had bought the house on the right and were in the process of repairing it.

The following day we went to Cauquenes to a market. Everything was sold here. Rhondda was most impressed by the “Takeaways” live chooks in the crates.

Typical Chile town.

Back at Helmets and Claudia’s having a drink.

We saw the milkman with his horse and cart. The milk was in the metal urn just like old times and distributed directly from the urn.

The sun set from the window of Helmets and Claudia’s home. Each night as the sun went down and we were sitting around having a wine or beer we would look out across the sea to the horizon and think that the next stop across the Pacific ocean was New Zealand. Hmmm home sick!

This view reminded me of the television program “The return of Reginald Peron” where Regi decides he has enough of work life and fakes suicide by stripping off and walking into the sea never to be seen again. When I told Helmut about this he thought it was a marvellous idea. So the following day I did the strip and headed for the sea much to Helmuts amusement.

Whooh its cold!

Helmet and Claudia’s property on the beach.
