Once the girls had a little rest something must have made them go mad because Tita took us to a Bar called “Coffee with Legs”. The situation was we were walking through this street when suddenly Tita said “We must go in here”, flung opened a door and we walked into this bar with the young ladies in bikinis. Well we had a great laugh and they were great fun!!! I must say I was wondering what was next. Because Tita was jabbering away in Spanish and the next thing I was surrounded by these girls!!!

Santiago is built in an extinct volcano and in the centre is a hill with a spectacular view. The building have vibrant colours and in this shot the Andes are in the back ground.

The hill in the centre of the city is a national park and looks over the whole of the city from every angle. It is a large area and has it own Police. Rhondda spotted this young Parks Officer who had a Harley Davidson patrol bike so she had to have a chat and take his photograph. Once again you can see that the people are very quick to smile and enjoy a moment with you. I can understand why the people in Chile hold the Police in such high regard. Tita made an interesting comment that the democracy in Chile is fragile as she felt the Church would like to have more influence. But the citizens look to the Police to preserve their rights.

The tourist guide book “The lonely planet” described the people of Chile as being more Catholic than Rome. Certainly the church has a big influence here. This is the monument on topof this hill.

The Police Dog training school headquarters were in this park and we stopped to have a talk with this Officer and on completion both he and his dog gave us a salute.

In the park were these Japanese gardens. A quiet place where you can relax.

So we returned to Terresa’s for night of laughter and anticipation of new adventures tomorrow.
