24 August Serengeti
Ohhh my Gawd sleeping in a tent on the ground with only 25mm of rubber makes Tony a happy camper “Yeah Right”!!
Last night the hyenas were in the camp
howling and looking for food. This morning
After breakfast we were off for a game drive. The Lions were up and we missed the penultimate shot of the two mating it was over in seconds, so quick we did not have time to get the camera ready.
The Elephants were out.
The animals are used to the vehicles and we can get very close to them.
Two leopards had made a kill dragged it into a tree.
Mercats
Next two Cheaters crossing the plain.

Of it was amazing we stayed in tents for 3 nights they were erected for us and there
was a dining hall so all the meals were provided and they were great, saw giraffes elephant zebras hyenas warthogs lions mating wilder beast buffalo lots of deer , the first night was cold and during the night got up several times and put on more clothing, by the time we had 3 layers and our jackets we were warm, the next 2 night were quite warm, the last night I went out to my usual tree in the dark and stumbled on a herd of zebras laying under my peeing tree did not see them till I was nearly on top of them they jumped up and ran and so did I, just magic so cool to see all these animals in the natural habitat.
The last day we spent down in the Ngoro Ngoro crater that was alive with animals.
On the way back to Arusha we stopped in a Maasai village and this teenage boy took us into his mothers hut and we were able to ask him anything we liked, after he explained how they all lived in the village, I was horrified that the 15 year old boys and girls still get circumcised he was quite open about everything, he had been to college but his mother could no longer afford to keep him there, the ideal would have .
